Ms. Iris

Rui (Iris) Yang is a Doctor of Musical Arts candidate in Viola Performance at Arizona State University, where she serves as a Teaching Assistant and teaches viola lessons for music minors, non-music majors, and undergraduate students. She holds both Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Viola Performance and has received full scholarships throughout her collegiate studies.

An active performer and educator, Iris has appeared with ensembles including the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra, Sedona Symphony Orchestra, Arizona Philharmonic, and Maryland Lyric Opera. She has also participated in prestigious summer festivals such as the National Orchestral Institute + Festival, Round Top Music Festival, and the Online Solo String Intensive..
